Your credit union protects member data through strict internal procedures and data security processes. Member data is protected through multiple layers of security, beyond mandated state or federal regulations. In addition, external examiners evaluate the security of our systems and identify new ways to protect member data.

As a reminder, all transactions made with your Credit Union debit or credit cards are protected by Visa’s Zero Liability policy, which protects you from fraudulent charges.

There are steps that you can take to safeguard your accounts:
  1. Monitor all your account and credit card statements. Review every purchase and charge to make sure you or a household member with access to your card made that purchase. Individuals who use stolen card information may test accounts with small purchases. You can monitor your Credit Union account activity through Internet Banking online or via your Mobile Banking app.
  2. Do a Periodic “Identity Theft” Check. Reviewing your credit report may alert you to inaccuracies and unauthorized activity. You can obtain a free credit report every 12 months from the three different credit bureaus: www.annualcreditreport.com
  3. Call us if you see unusual activity on your accounts. Please contact us immediately at 505-889-7755 (800-347-2838 outside the Albuquerque area) if you see unauthorized activity on your accounts. After normal business hours, call 800-325-3678 for your credit card, and call both 800-543-5073 and 888-241-2510 for your debit card.
