Fraudulent Calls & Texts

We have received reports of fraudulent voicemail and text messages claiming to be from Nusenda Credit Union, seeking to verify a loan review. The fraudulent texts and phone calls are attempts to access the member's personal and financial information.

We have received reports of fraudulent voicemail and text messages claiming to be from Nusenda Credit Union, seeking to verify a loan review.

  • The fraudulent texts display a photo of a house key with a message to view a home loan review using the recipient’s home address.
  • The voicemail claims to be from Nusenda Credit Union and asks members to contact them at 1-877-827-0558. The automated message asks members for their social security number or loan number

These phone calls and texts are fraudulent attempts to access member accounts. They are not associated with Nusenda Credit Union.


Calls may be received from a number that appears to be a Nusenda phone number. Please do not provide any personal or account information. Nusenda will NEVER contact you requesting your financial information such as card or online banking credentials.


If you suspect anything unusual or that you are a victim of identity theft, call us immediately at 505-889-7755 (800-347-2838 outside the Albuquerque area).


Ensure that Nusenda can alert you immediately regarding your Mobile and Internet Banking accounts by logging in, selecting My Profile, the selecting Alerts from the drop-down. Click on Security Alerts, then Edit Delivery to confirm that your account alert information is up-to-date or edit as needed, then Save. This is one way you can be alerted if someone has attempted to access your Mobile or Internet Banking accounts.
