Attend Your Credit Union’s Annual Meeting
Nusenda Credit Union will hold its 81st Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. This is your best opportunity to hear about your financial cooperative’s performance during 2016. Please join us at the Embassy Suites, 1000 Woodward Place, NE, Albuquerque. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m., with light refreshments served at 5:30 p.m.
The Nominating Committee has submitted the following members for the vacancies on the Board of Directors:
1. Ms. Ann Brooks, three-year term. Ann Brooks is an Accounting Principal Lecturer at the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management. She has been on the board since 2007 and prior to that served on the Supervisory Committee beginning in 2002 and until 2014. She has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of New Mexico. She earned the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) Certified Volunteer Expert (NCVE) in 2016.
2. Ms. Leigh Anne Chavez, three-year term. Leigh Anne Chavez is the Recycled Metals Prosecutor with the State of New Mexico, Regulation & Licensing Department. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California Los Angeles; a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Central New Mexico Community College. She has been on the board since 1994.
3. Mr. John Landis, three-year term. John Landis is the Senior Team Member/Inventory Analyst with Stryker Orthopaedics. He has been on the board since 2015, and has served on the Supervisory Committee since 2004. John holds a Bachelor’s, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico.
Because the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled, an election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no motions for nominees from the floor. The Nominating Committee’s selection will be elected by general consent at the 81st Annual Meeting to be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Meetings of the members will be conducted according to Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised. No motions are permitted from the floor during the annual meeting.
