School Mill Levy and Bond Elections

Various mill levy and bond elections will be held for schools throughout the state on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Voters are being asked to cast a vote for or against re-authorizing their school mill levies, or authorizing their school bonds.

Mill levy funds provide an ongoing source of funding for public schools, including charter schools. Bonds are defined as one-time investments in capital projects. There will be no increase in taxes. The proposed mill levy and school bonds will provide funding for varied services, based on the school district:

  • School maintenance and improvements
  • Computer software and hardware

  • Technology infrastructure
  • Security systems updates
  • Disability access improvements
  • Athletic field replacement
