Joe Christian has been named Nusenda Credit Union’s president/CEO by its board of directors. “It’s an honor to be part of the leadership team of one of the best organizations in New Mexico,” Christian said. “We are dedicated to following the board’s strategic vision to positively impact the daily lives of our members and their communities in ways that benefit all New Mexicans.
“While we have a number of exciting projects on the horizon, Nusenda and its team of 500 dedicated employees remain committed to transforming the financial lives of New Mexicans with the aim of making our home state a better place to live, work, and play.”
Christian has held numerous leadership roles during his tenure. With more than 30 years of service to the organization, he has served as interim president/CEO, executive vice president of operations, chief operations officer, chief administrative officer, and senior vice president of information systems. Christian holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Finance from New Mexico State University, and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management from the College of Santa Fe. He graduated from the Credit Union National Association Management School and holds a CCUE (Certified Credit Union Executive) designation.
