Nusenda Credit Union announced today the promotion of Matt Jackson to Chief Lending Officer and the hiring of Daniel Vasquez as Senior Vice President of Consumer Lending, strengthening the organization’s executive leadership and reinforcing its commitment to growth in the El Paso market.

Matt joined Nusenda in July 2023 and has held successive leadership roles with expanding responsibility across business, consumer, and mortgage lending. In his new role as Chief Lending Officer, he will continue guiding Nusenda’s lending strategy across consumer and mortgage services, while taking our small business services to the next level later this year. He brings more than 10 years of experience in business lending and underwriting, with prior leadership positions in credit administration, underwriting, loan center management, and risk assessment from regional financial institutions. He is also a U.S. Army veteran.
Daniel brings more than 25 years of experience in the credit union industry, most recently providing strategic oversight of a $2.2 billion loan portfolio serving the West Texas and Southern New Mexico, and leading consumer, indirect, and mortgage underwriting operations. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso and is actively engaged in the El Paso community through board and professional service, including the UTEP College of Business Alumni Chapter, Cornerstone League for Young Professionals, and the Progress 321 Programming Committee.
