Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M. – The Notah Begay III Foundation announced the return of the NB3 Collegiate Matchplay at Twin Warriors, a premier collegiate golf event hosted by Notah Begay III and presented by the Pueblo of Santa Ana and financial partner Nusenda Credit Union. The third annual competition will take place September 29–30, 2026, with live national coverage on Golf Channel, elevating the event’s reach and impact.

A press conference announcing the eight participating NCAA Division I teams will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Star Restaurant at Twin Warriors Golf Club. Media will hear from Notah Begay III, Twin Warriors Director of Golf and General Manager Derek Gutierrez, and Nusenda’s President & CEO Michelle Dearholt.

The NB3 Collegiate Matchplay features a round-robin format that brings together eight elite Division I programs – four men’s teams and four women’s teams – for a high-intensity, head-to-head competition. Each team will compete in three matches, with five points available per match and total points determining the overall champion.

“The live national television broadcast on Golf Channel proved to be a huge success for our sponsorship partners,” said Notah Begay III. “I’m so thankful to the Pueblo of Santa Ana for hosting this prestigious event as it has given us the chance to showcase the world-class Twin Warriors golf course as well as all the resort amenities. The third edition of this championship will prove to be another win for everyone in the State of New Mexico.”

The event continues to bring national attention to Twin Warriors Golf Club and the Pueblo of Santa Ana, highlighting both as premier destinations while showcasing top collegiate talent competing under pressure.

“On behalf of the Pueblo of Santa Ana, we are honored and excited to host the third edition of the NB3 Collegiate Championship at Twin Warriors Golf Club this fall,” said Jay Garcia, Chairman of the Pueblo of Santa Ana. “This championship provides a wonderful opportunity to welcome some of the finest collegiate golfers in the nation while sharing the rich culture, traditions, and hospitality of the Pueblo of Santa Ana with participants, guests, and viewers around the world. We look forward to showcasing our community and providing an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.”

The NB3 Collegiate Matchplay is open to the public with free admission and will include an autograph area for junior and high school golfers to connect with participating student-athletes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the NB3 Foundation, which has supported Native American youth since 2005 through programs focused on health, wellness, and sports participation.

“We’re proud to host the third edition of the NB3 Collegiate Matchplay at Twin Warriors Golf Club this fall,” said Derek Gutierrez. “This event is a continued celebration of elite collegiate golf, uniting talented student-athletes in the spirit of competition and community. My sincere thanks to Notah Begay III, the Pueblo of Santa Ana, and our Santa Ana Golf Club Board of Directors for their support in bringing this impactful event back to our community.”

Nusenda Credit Union returns for its third year as the official financial sponsor, continuing to support both the nationally televised competition and the NB3 Foundation’s mission.

“We’re proud to stand alongside the NB3 Foundation, as their mission so closely reflects our own—expanding opportunity and improving financial lives across the communities we serve,” said Michelle Dearholt, President and CEO of Nusenda Credit Union. “Through this partnership, we’re investing in the well-being and future of youth and families, and helping create access to opportunities that can change lives for generations. That’s the kind of impact that truly matters to us.”

Golf Channel will provide six hours of live coverage across both days of competition, airing from 5:30–8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on September 29 and 30. The event will once again be part of the network’s fall collegiate golf lineup, bringing national visibility to the competition, the athletes, and the host community.

The eight competing teams will be formally announced at the July 7 press conference.
