El Paso, TX – Nusenda Credit Union is proud to announce a $250,000 commitment to support the El Paso Children’s Garden. The gift will support this transformative community project designed to inspire learning, conservation, and connection through nature.
The investment will advance development of the El Paso Children’s Garden, a planned 60-acre destination botanical garden in Northwest El Paso that will feature 32 themed gardens, four playgrounds, a butterfly house, outdoor educational spaces, and community gathering areas. The project is planned as an innovative, multi-generational facility focused on education, environmental stewardship, and fun for the whole family.
"The El Paso Children's Garden is an inspiring investment in the community," said Nusenda Credit Union CEO and President Michelle Dearholt. "This project will create opportunities for children and families to learn, explore, and make lasting memories together. We're proud to support a place that will bring people together and enrich the lives of El Paso families for generations to come."
The El Paso Children’s Garden is a nonprofit organization working to create a one-of-a-kind destination botanic garden that combines recreation, education, conservation, and sustainability. Plans include a three-mile walking experience through themed gardens, hands-on learning opportunities, wildlife habitats, and programming designed to engage visitors of all ages.
"On behalf of everyone who dreams of a brighter future for our community, thank you, Nusenda Credit Union, for your extraordinary $250,000 investment in the El Paso Children's Garden,” said Dennece Knight, Founder of El Paso Children’s Garden. “Through your generosity El Paso will enjoy a lasting legacy of discovery, lifelong learning, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world that will enrich this region for generations to come. We are deeply grateful for your partnership in helping to bring this vision to life."
