New Mexico's Tax-Free Weekend
Attending school may look different this year, but students will still be needing supplies to help further their education.
New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department has declared a Gross Receipts Tax Holiday to help families reduce back-to-school expenses. The following are some of the items that will be exempt from sales tax from Friday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 9:
- Clothing sold for less than $100 per item (some exceptions apply)
- Computers sold for no more than $1,000
- Computer equipment for no more than $500
- School supplies for less than $30 per item (some exceptions apply)
