Nusenda named one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in the US
Albuquerque, N.M. – American Banker recently named Nusenda Credit Union as one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in the US. This is the sixth time the Credit Union has received this recognition.

Nusenda employees were surveyed by American Banker earlier this year and were asked about workplace culture, benefits, and overall job satisfaction. The Credit Union supports employee well-being by offering outstanding health and wellness benefits, retirement options, tuition reimbursement, and fun employee events. In 2023, Nusenda introduced a Lifestyle and Wellness Reimbursement Program benefit. This program offers reimbursements up to $750 per calendar year for a variety of expenses related to physical and mental health, financial support and planning, and family and lifestyle expenses. Employee development and competitive pay are other benefits for team members at Nusenda.
Leadership at Nusenda is committed to an inclusive, supportive, and innovative workplace. This is on display in a variety of ways, with Employee Resource Groups, celebration events, education, and other initiatives led by the Credit Union’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council.
Volunteerism is a core value at Nusenda, and the Credit Union supports employee participation in individual, departmental, and organizational community give-back efforts. Employees get money to donate and 16 hours of paid volunteer time annually. In 2022, employees generously volunteered over 1,300 hours and donated funds throughout the year to support 117 causes ranging from disaster relief to the arts.
