Albuquerque, N.M. – Nusenda is pleased to announce that the acquisition of Western Heritage Bank is complete as of today, March 12, 2024, after receiving National Credit Union Administration approval.
“On behalf of our board of directors and entire team, I am pleased to welcome Western Heritage customers and employees to the Nusenda family!” said Joe Christian, President/CEO of Nusenda. “The combination of our community focused institutions and shared beliefs about customer service, community impact, and employee well-being will support the ongoing growth and financial service needs in the Borderplex region.”
At closing, the two financial institutions became one entity and starting today, branch signage, the Western Heritage website, social media, and communications will say “Western Heritage – Powered by Nusenda Credit Union.” More than fifty Western Heritage employees will become part of the credit union. Nusenda will have representatives available in select Western Heritage branches to answer questions and ensure a smooth transition.
Accounts and systems will be moved to Nusenda by late 2024. For now, Western Heritage account holders will continue to be served by the talented team at Western Heritage through existing branches, ATMs, websites, and mobile applications.
