Education Support

Our roots are in education. Our credit union was founded by educators – and for educators – at Albuquerque High School in 1936. That’s why we work with community partners to ensure that educators are supported, and students get the help they need to succeed – personally and financially.

Socorro Consolidated Schools

In south-central New Mexico, Socorro Consolidated Schools offers comprehensive education for almost 1,700 students. It is a vibrant community, but because of the area's rural nature, many students don't have access to the Internet at home. Contributions from Nusenda members through Community Rewards helped purchase Chromebooks so students can experience a global community online - and continues to help the district with its goal to close the technology gap, and be a leading STEAM school district in the state. Contributions also go to help in launching a new teacher institute, and to underwrite back-to-school and employee appreciation events.
