Environment and Wildlife

With its rich mixture of natural resources and diverse landscapes, New Mexico is an outdoor paradise. That’s why it’s important to us to partner with organizations that recognize our state’s beauty – and work to protect it for generations to come.

Rio Grande Community Farm

Rio Grande Community Farm was established in 1997 to manage 50 of the 138 acres of the Los Poblanos Fields Open Space. Guests will find a community garden with educational opportunities; and sustainable agriculture projects.  Tres Hermanas empowers Albuquerque’s refugee population by providing them with space to grow their own food. The Firewheel Collective, a cooperative women’s farming project grows healthy food for their families through organic, sustainable farming methods.
