Our mission is to create stronger communities where members live and work through collaborative partnerships; and by investing in innovative solutions to improve education, health, social, and economic outcomes. We operate as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization in partnership with the operations of the credit union; Nusenda Foundation’s flagship program is Community Rewards®, a grant program that provides grant funds to organizations in the areas we serve to support our most vulnerable populations.

Nusenda Foundation's goal is to partner with organizations that share in our work to help New Mexicans and West Texans thrive in the communities they call home. Nusenda accepts sponsorship requests throughout the year that support community gatherings, meetings, conferences, and fundraisers. We have a special interest in supporting events that have short-and long-term benefits for host organizations and the people they serve while positively impacting communities across New Mexico and West Texas. Nusenda’s Microloan Program is a character and relationship-based program that provides microloans for low-income and underbanked entrepreneurs. This lending model provides access to capital through educational, cooperative, and nonprofit organizations that provide customized and impactful microloans for the recipients. Underserved business owners and individuals who are looking to make an impact on our communities can now receive funding through 21 established community organizations.
