We have received reports of New Mexicans receiving fraudulent phone calls claiming to be Nusenda Credit Union, from a phone number manipulated to look like Nusenda. The fraudsters are pretending to verify recent card transactions or payments. The fraudster suggests sending the member a “PIN” by text message or email to verify they are the account owner; however, the PIN which is sent may be the secure access code needed to login to or reset the password for Mobile or Internet Banking and access from a new computer/device. These calls are fraudulent attempts to access online banking. They are not associated with Nusenda Credit Union.

Calls may be received from a number that appears to be a Nusenda phone number. Please do not provide any personal or account information. Nusenda will NEVER contact you requesting your financial information such as card or online banking credentials.

If you suspect anything unusual or that you are a victim of identity theft, call us immediately at 505-889-7755 (800-347-2838 outside the Albuquerque area).

You can ensure that Nusenda can alert you immediately regarding your Mobile and Internet Banking accounts by logging in, selecting My Profile, the selecting Alerts from the drop-down. Click on Security Alerts, then Edit Delivery to confirm that your account alert information is up-to-date or edit as needed, then Save.
